1982 4001-S features include: Cresting wave shaped headstock, tuners, raised logo on plastic truss rod cover (plexiglass on left handed models), pearloid dot fret markers, glued in neck, 20 frets, no binding, four pole neck pickup, four pole bridge pickup including cover and chrome surround, white pickguard, black heptagonal shaped knobs, 3 way pickup toggle switch, chrome bridge assembly including mutes, mono input jack plate, pots cavity markings, plastic wiring, black case.
