1967 RICKENBACKER 4000 BASS

1967 Ric 4000 features: cresting wave shaped headstock with walnut wings, Kluson riveted tuners with flathead screws, plexiglass truss rod cover with logo but no model name, full width neck through body design with no skunk stripe, 20 frets, dot fret markers, no binding, white pickguard, clear plexiglass thumb rest, horseshoe shaped bridge pickup with large chrome surround, two black heptagonal knobs, chrome "gaptooth" bridge including mutes, blue molded capacitor, pots cavity marking, mono input jack plate, silver case with blue interior.
The letters on the chrome bridge plate determine the year and month of production. The digits indicate the number of production. Some examples of 1967 Rickenbacker serial numbers are:
