1976 Les Paul Triumph bass characteristics: Pearloid inlaid Gibson logo on the headstock with no "i" dot and closed "o", split diamond pearloid inlays and fine trim on the headstock, Schaller M-4 tuners with Gibson name stamped into the gear cover, two screw truss rod cover including model name, "LES PAUL TRIUMPH BASS MADE IN U.S.A." and serial number embossed onto back of headstock, volute on headstock back, bound rosewood 24 fret board with pearloid block fret markers, three pice laminated mahogany glued in neck, Honduran Mahogany contoured body with fine trim, two black plastic low impedance pickups including Gibson embossed logo and chrome surround, switches and input jack on large control plate, three silver top/black bell shaped knobs including numbers and words, three pole bridge, chrome bridge cover, CTS potentiometers, resistors, capacitors, molded tolex hard case including Gibson name and blue interior.

Serial numbers were eight digits beginning with an "00" prefix, embossed on the headstock back. Gibson shipped a total of 82 Natural finish and 87 White Les Paul Basses in 1976.
